The Bible

You can’t have a close relationship with someone you don't know anything about. It’s impossible. God’s word—the Bible—is the primary way we can learn about Him. And it’s the best way to discover how to follow Jesus on a daily basis. If you want to know more about God and His promises, reading the Bible is your next step.

Prayer

Relationships need communication in order to thrive. In fact they need a lot of communication. Prayer is simply talking with God, and it's crucial to growing our relationship with Him. Click the button below to start an 8-part introduction to what prayer is all about.

STEPS WITH THE CHURCH

Baptism

One of the first steps that Jesus himself encouraged us to take was to make our faith public through participating in Water Baptism. Would you like to take this step? Do you want to learn more about why it's so important?

Small Groups

When the church started almost 2,000 years ago, they all met together regularly for worship, fellowship, and to hear the Word of God. They also met regularly in smaller groups in homes where they developed closer relationships. We encourage you to join one of our Small Groups so you can get connected with other believers like you!  

Get Involved

When we get involved, we open the door for our faith in God to grow. Some of our greatest times of spiritual growth will occur when we are giving out, not just filling up. At Encounter, there are many places you can use the gifts and abilities God has given you to serve others.

Membership

We believe every Christian should belong to a local church and intentionally grow roots in a local expression of the Body of Christ. This includes serving, giving, and participating in biblical community. Throughout the year we will be offering membership classes in an informal setting where you can learn the values of Encounter Church as well as what we believe.
