Keller looks at scriptural and historical examples of revival and presents several common marks of true revival.

The Charismatic Gifts of the Spirit - N. T. Wright (Podcast)

N. T. Wright is an Anglican bishop who is a brilliant scholar, but also operates in spiritual gifts. He gives a well-balanced approach to understanding how the Holy Spirit moves through his special “Charismata.” As you listen, keep in mind he is speaking to a very general audience. “Holy Fire” by R. T. Kendall (Book)

R. T. Kendall is a Charismatic Reformed pastor who has been involved in a remarkably wide variety of Christian streams over his long career. In “Holy Fire,” he offers a balanced perspective on the Spiritual Gifts from Scripture and his years of experience.

Robert Morris is the pastor of Gateway church in Dallas. In “The God I Never Knew,” he outlines his personal history and experience of the Spiritual Gifts and gives a biblical framework in which to understand them.

In this book, Jack Hayford explains, in very thoughtful and balanced terms, the origin and purpose of tongues, as well as his appreciation for tongues as a gift of the Holy Spirit. His stance is that speaking in tongues is available to every believer who desires and asks.
