Day 15 – Wisdom, Knowledge, Inheritance and Peace

We have access to wisdom and knowledge in Christ.

Col 2:3in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Wisdom is the God-given ability to make proper decisions at every point in life.

Jesus Himself is the Word of God, and the Word brings us wisdom. This is available to all believers. We simply need to ask and receive it by faith:

Jas 1:5-6If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

The knowledge referred to in Col 2:3 is revelation knowledge; that which the Spirit of God reveals to us.

We have an inheritance in Christ.

Eph 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance…

Who is most eligible for an inheritance? Children! Because God has brought is into His family in Christ, we share in the inheritance of Almighty God. We are joint-heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17), and so what is available to Jesus as an heir is also available to us.

This refers to any and every good thing in the Kingdom – pertaining to spirit, soul and body.

God’s resources are not limited, so none of us has to do without.

 We have peace in Christ.

Eph 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one…

The Greek word for peace in the New Testament is similar to the Hebrew word “Shalom,” meaning wholeness, well-being, calmness. It refers to being one with no inner conflict.

Because of Jesus – the Prince of Peace – we have peace with God, we can have peace with man, and we can experience true inner peace.

There is no need for separation or turmoil between us and God. There is no need for separation or turmoil between us and other Christians.
